The neutral color palette and high ceilings give this grand eat-in kitchen a welcoming and peaceful feeling. The kitchen's glass-fronted cabinets, marble counter tops and white subway tile back splash contrast nicely with all the wood in the space. I also like that all the wooden elements - table & chair, flooring, ceiling and cabinetry - are different hues.
Tucked in between large windows, the kitchen nook's custom upholstered "sofa" benches are inviting. The pair of square wooden tables can be easily moved around to suit the home owner's needs. What a fun place to enjoy a cup of morning tea!

This gourmet kitchen has all the modern amenities including two sinks - one double sink located on the island and one farm sink under a window. A large professional-grade range and hood take center stage.
The stainless-steel appliances, polished hardware and pendant lighting fixtures provide contemporary elements in an otherwise traditional space.
The large kitchen island offers plenty of counter space for food prep, loads of storage and additional seating.
What a delightful space for entertaining. Love, love, love it.

I would love to have a kitchen that big and beautiful and that seating area is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI love Phoebe Howard's rooms but had never seen this kitchen before. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this kitchen too! The eat-in area with the sofas is to die for.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautiful by the way! I love your header.
Ooooh, what a beautiful kitchen!!! LOVE the wood beamed ceiling -- it adds so much character and warmth to the space. The range hood makes a real statement. And I always like the look of an island that's a different colour than the cabinets :-)

I love that kitchen nook - it's totally to die for! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed that you used to do tri's before you had kids! It's awfully hard for me!
It truly is a beautiful kitchen, wow!! And the nook is very cool, so big that you couldn't install a permanent table or it would be impossible to get in and out but throw in a couple tables and chairs and you have a party! Thanks for the inspiration!
