Recently I have had the pleasure of designing a couple of baby nursery rooms for clients. One was for a baby-girl-to-be. Once my new mom-to-be makes her final selections, I will be sure to share with you the inspiration boards. Meanwhile, this girly, girl nursery room post is for her.
This airy, modern nursery featured in Style at Home was designed by Scott Wilds of The Cross. The cherry blossom wall decal makes a whimsical focal point in the space and really pops up against the ice blue walls. The floral motif is echoed in the area rug, throw blanket and crib pillows. Love the white pouf with hot pink stitching!
Little Crown Interiors created this chic pink nursery. The dramatic back wall is covered in hot pink and silver damask wallpaper. The custom monogram is flanked by stylish lucite scones ; Both accented by white picture frame molding. A custom monogram embroidered pillow sits in a navy Empire Rocker by Nurseryworks. This nursery just wouldn't be complete without a dazzling chandelier.
This glamorous lavender girl's nursery also by Little Crown Interiors was inspired by the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. The fabric draped ceiling, crystal chandelier and metal crib by Bratt Decor add to the room's elegance. The custom changing table designed by Little Crown Interiors is as functional as it is beautiful. It features a fold-down changing tray, built-in diaper genie and upholstered door panels with tufted rhinestone buttons. The nursery decor is completed with custom shadow boxes and stretched canvas artwork.
This contemporary, playful green, yellow and turquoise nursery featured on Project Nursery has the perfect balance of old and new. It delivers feminine touches without being over-the-top girly. The mother-to-be found {scored} many of the rooms furnishings at estate sales or thrift stores including the antique wardrobe, a pair of Faux Boix 1957 lamps {bases painted Sherman Williams Capri Blue}, {with collapsible aluminum shades} stuffed rocker {$80} and chandelier. As for a touch of new, the canopy {designed again by mom-to-be} beautifully frames the modern Classic Euro Crib by Oeuf. For a touch of whimsy, the ceiling is painted a bold green and white stripe using Sherman Williams Kilkenny Green {also inset of wardrobe} and Bistro White. Accents of bright yellow {Lemon Twist Yellow} was applied on the ceiling canopy and closet doors. The disco balls perched atop the wardrobe are brilliant!
