Halloween 2010 was especially exciting for us - great weather, fun trick-or-treating and a huge San Francisco Giants win in the World Series!
The festive weekend has us all moving a little slower this morning. And it seems that the day after a big holiday is always filled with mixed emotions:
Sad to see it all go by so quickly.
Happy for it be over.
Bummed about cleaning up.
But, looking forward to the next holiday.
Yes, I've started prepping for Thanksgiving. Above is a sneak peak at the linens, China and place-cards we'll be using this year. Haven't even thought about Thanksgiving or need some inspiration? Here are some fun ideas on setting and decorating your table for Thanksgiving to get you in the mood.
Today I'll be cleaning-up, taking down and storing all the Halloween decorations. What's on your list of things to do?
I have already started planning out my Thanksgiving table too! Luckily, I only decorate in fall themed decor so I don't have to add cleaning up Halloween decorations to my list!
ReplyDeleteOoh--I love your table top. You always have great taste!

Today, I need to figure out how to get our excess candy out of the house so that I'm not tempted!
ReplyDeleteFor Thanksgiving, I was thinking of cleaning out the garage... nothing like a 4-day weekend for a fun project!
I can't wait to see the rest of the Thanksgiving decor :) I have taken all my Halloween stuff down, but I will leave a few pumpkins out to go with my Thanksgiving place settings :) I cannot wait for Christmas!!!! xoxoxo www.1942charm.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about Halloween is it's just the beginning of the holiday season -- I'm always super bummed to take all the Xmas stuff down after New Year's...so depressing!
ReplyDeleteI love to put the decorations up early and then I can't wait to get them down. I'm half way through the clean up. Ready for Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteYes! On to Thanksgiving- then Christmas! Ha:) Off to read your Thanksgiving table ideas . . .
ReplyDeleteOh you are good! Loving the table cloth, china and place cards so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the sneak peek at your Thanksgiving table! Not too much Halloween clean-up here - just trying to figure out how to get rid of the left-over candy besides eating it. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, see, there's an advantage to not decorating for Hallowe'en - not having to tidy up afterwards! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe only holiday I decorate for is Christmas. Not to be a scrooge, I just find it a lot of pressure to decorate for every holiday. I do enjoy seeing the decorations other people put up, though :-)
