They are nostalgic and chic – not to mention highly versatile. The bar cart is hot and trending. Vintage inspired bar carts are popping up everywhere and last week I shared some gorgeous ones from Society Social.
Here’s my vintage 1960s bar cart ready to serve guests summertime drinks. The cart was picked up at an estate sale in San Francisco last year. It was actually thrown in for free because I purchased a larger item – lucky me! I also found out it was originally it used as a TV stand.
Don’t let the name fool you too – bar carts are terrific for serving tea & coffee or displaying desserts. In fact, mine doesn't look this way everyday. Because I am a tea girl, it’s typically ready for afternoon tea.
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteLucky find, that bar cart you got. I am a fan of bar carts. I own 3 of them, none of which is used as a bar! One holds a couple of cake stands and glass bowls for after school snacks and fruit. One is outside on the deck and holds potted flowering (sometimes) plants. The third is dragged to the dinner table and holds the drinks ( Milk, water, OJ). I agree with you -- they are terrific!
