Displaying Kids Artwork Collections

One common question I receive from clients is how to display children’s art collections in a stylish way. Displaying art doesn’t have to clutter the refrigerator or be complicated, but can be simple or as creative as the artwork itself.

In my own home {shown above}, I have simple white frames especially designed for kids artwork. Pieces can be easily switched out in minutes. I purchased these frames years ago at Pottery Barn Kids, but they carry a similar frame today.

Here are some more very style-savvy ways for displaying your child’s precious art:

If you've found a great way to display your kid's art, please share with us here or on Facebook!

Great ideas! My son's starting to bring home some scribbles from daycare and I feel bad tossing them.

There is a famous quote that goes something like this,
"Nothing in life is worth more than leaving behind children and art." There is something so playful and happy that children bring to life and to art.
Great displays. I also like saving it in boxes for years to come. I have tons of artwork framed and hung and then some hidden for a rainy day ray of sunshine.

All your suggestions are lovely, Cristin.
Thank you!

If I had the space I would go for that last display...

I adore children's artwork and always displayed my boy's work and now their children's work in my home. Here is another great use of children's artwork used locally here in a children's hospital. http://www.lafontsee.us/childrens-hospital/index.html

Thank you for the great ideas on the different ways to display!!

Love all of your images. I think children's art is so special on so many levels and just as good (or better) as that of many grown up artists!

I have two boys, 3 and 5, and struggle with this. My favorite, and I'm not just saying this ;) is your solution! It treats the art with respect and looks lovely in almost any setting. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love your ideas. I am going to take some pictures my adult children did when they were in grade school and when I have grandchildren I will hang parents and child's art together. It may be a few years ahead, but I have a nice pile saved.

What a great line up! I love the options and can't wait until my little Liv begins creating artwork for me to display :).

It's always great to have more ideas to share with clients and readers... thank you! I also love the idea of taking photos of art and turning it into a collage or printed photo book.

These are all really great ideas. I LOVE the collage. My kids are pretty little right now so we have limited artwork for the moment. I did frame the first ever drawing of our family by our 3 year old.

The picture came home on a large crumbled piece of construction paper. I took a picture of it and had it framed.

Great ideas on how to display the plethora of children's artwork I seem to have! :)

I've admired that Jan Ellen piece...might just have to break down and do it.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are off to a happy holiday start!
