Have you ever wanted to see what your window treatments would look like before you commit to buying them? Well, now you can. Hunter Douglas, a leader in custom window treatments, has launched “The Art of Window Dressing” iPad App that lets you see how actual products will look on your windows anywhere, anytime. The App takes full advantage of the iPad’s amazing image resolution to create a visualization tool that makes the virtual shopping experience for window fashions easy and fun. Now, finding the perfect window coverings is just a quick tap away.
“In many ways, our new App will revolutionize how consumers begin their search to find the perfect window treatments for their homes”, said Ron Kass, Hunter Douglas Executive Vice President of Marketing. “It brings together in one place everything a consumer needs to get started, simplifying the process and making it a whole lot more efficient and enjoyable.”
Part photo book and part rendering tool with a sophisticated “Swatch Sorter” function, “The Art of Window Dressing” App also lets you save and share your design ideas with family and friends.
Features include:
· The “Fashion Show” section – a virtual showroom of the most comprehensive line of custom window fashions that add great design to any home. Consumers can browse the runway of hundreds of interiors, and see how each product can help transform a home aesthetically, while delivering a myriad of benefits, from light control to energy savings.
· The “Dress A Window” section capitalizes on the Hunter Douglas proprietary iMagine™ rendering tool, which allows consumers to see how each product would look in sample room scenes or in their own home. Consumers can take their own picture of a room and render Hunter Douglas products right on the windows to preview how different styles impact the overall décor.
· The “Swatch Sorter” tool provides a wonderful way to sort through the thousands of fabric and style options available within the product collection. The tool lets a consumer select among light-filtering options, different style choices and colors. The color section of the tool sorts the fabric choices available in each product style by color families. Once a color family is selected, just the fabrics within that color family are shown so that the process of finding just the right fabric/color combination is a whole lot easier.
The App also has a convenient “Workbook” that lets all room renderings be saved complete with product specifications. These room scenes can be easily shared by e-mail, Facebook and when visiting a dealer. The built-in Dealer Locator lists nearby retailers where consumers ready to purchase can see the products on display and work with a window coverings professional who can provide additional design advice as well as measuring and installation expertise.
“The Art of Window Dressing” App is now available through the iTunes App Store at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hunter-douglas-the-art-window/id497716331?mt=8 as well as through a link on www.hunterdouglas.com. To get the latest information, please like Hunter Douglas on Facebook.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great opportunity, thank you! We just moved into our new home a few months ago and most of our windows are still bare.
ReplyDeleteWe recently moved into a new home and our poor dining room has been left for last. It has beautiful old window but could really benefit from some window treatments. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy living room for sure, I think it still has the original drapes from the 60's...super wide windows and of course heaters under both of the windows so I haven't been able to put full length curtains in em.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of being able to see what treatments look like before buying! Thank you for the giveaway.

My bedroom and kitchen are in dire need! What a cool app!
ReplyDeleteI've made a lot of the curtains in my house, but my bedroom is in need of new ones-- the dark brown roman shade that came with the house just isn't my style.
ReplyDeleteOh fun! We could use master bedroom treatments!
ReplyDeleteMy family room could definitely use new window treatments.
ReplyDeleteOur bedroom is in the most need. I have fabric to make other rooms curtains but am having so much trouble with the bedroom.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's office is in greatest need of some window treatments! The window is so big that I don't even know what to do!
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen!!
ReplyDeleteCristin,
ReplyDeleteAt this moment in time (spring cleaning) my master bedroom is in need indeed.

Gifts We Use {to grow, love and serve}
Still working on our new home and will need window treatments throughout! What a great app and giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy living room REALLY needs window treatments!
ReplyDeleteMy bedroom needs the most help, I put these simple Ikea curtains in when we moved in, and never got around to doing something better
ReplyDeleteOur living room, my husband's office and the dining room are in major need - in that order. (And 2 of those room have windows on the front of the house. Oh the shame!)
ReplyDeleteI live in a loft and have very tall windows- they could use some nice curtains, for sure! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOur living room. We have 50 feet of sliding glass door sized windows that I am struggling to come up with a solution. This could be the ticket!
ReplyDeleteHow kind of HD to offer a winner an iPad! I'll take it! The windows in my home most in need of treatment are the office, sad but true!
ReplyDeleteKate
Hello,
ReplyDeleteMy living room would love some new window treatments as well as a new i-pad 3 sitting in it! ha!
Hope I win! :D
-Ainsley
My kitchen has been in need of treatments for 10 years!
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen needs treatment badly.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have new window treatments for the master bedroom. My husband sometimes works nights, so light control is very important. Plus, it's really nice for me to be able to sleep in on the weekends ;)
ReplyDeleteI am in desperate need of new window treatments in my living room. I've had the same half-broken vertical blinds since I moved in...9 years ago!
ReplyDeleteMy living room desperately needs curtains. We get major afternoon sun and it gets quite warm in there no matter what the temperature is outside!
ReplyDeleteMy son's room will need a new window treatment....he's going to college and I get a guest room!
ReplyDeleteThat app looks so helpful!
ReplyDeleteOur kitchen is in the biggest need of window treatments. What is there now is what was left by the previous owners (over eight years ago!). They are falling apart and don't even do a good job of actually covering the windows anymore. With very limited house update funds it just hasn't been a top priority yet. Hopefully soon though! :)
Our library windows are bare. We would love to have some window treatments.
ReplyDeleteMy dining room is in desperate need!
ReplyDeleteAll of them! I have lived in my apartment for a year and none of them have window treatments. So sad!
ReplyDeleteI just tore gold curtains off my formal living room's windows because I couldn't stand them anymore! Definitely need some window love in there!
ReplyDeleteOur sunroom is in desperate need of new window treatments. I just don't know what to do in there - I have a large window and french doors that both need window treatments that are light but still beautiful!!
ReplyDeletemy front room! it still has the same yellowing, metal blinds that were originally installed in 1983!
ReplyDeleteI live in a basement apartment that has a lovely window with a view of a corrugated metal basement well. It would be so nice to have a roman shade there made of a sheer-ish fabric that would let some of the natural light in, but hide the ugly metal view.
ReplyDeleteOur new kids room desperately needs new blinds! The ones we currently have let in too much light when closed so our daughter wakes up immediately after sunrise.
ReplyDeleteOur kitchen; there aren't any curtains on there now and unfortunately, my neighbors live right next door and can look in my kitchen windows all the time. I haven't found any I like and I've been to busy (lazy too) to sew my own.

My bedroom. I am stuck on the style and function, I love having blackout as I work grave yards but during my time off, I need something aesthetically pleasing!
ReplyDeletechacoyaguayo(at)yahoo(dot)com
Thank you for the opportunity!

ReplyDeleteOur living room is in desperate need of some gorgeous window coverings!
ReplyDeleteAll of the windows in my house need of window treatments!
ReplyDeleteWe purchased a home 10 years ago with skylight right above our bed in the Master Bedroom. We have been saying EVERY morning, Gee we need to get window coverings for those! I'm sure the original owners who planned the skylights had romantic ideas of sleeping under the stars............needless to say they are divorced. Needless to say there is something about a good night of sleep. Come to think of it, I better order something FAST for those skylights!
ReplyDeleteMy living room needs new treatments... or my bedroom. Right now they have blinds and sheers and I'd love for them to be dressed up a little more!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely have to say my living room is in desperate need of a new window treatment. I honestly don't think I've ever had new things on my windows lol. The app sounds pretty neat and I'd definitely give it a try. Thanks for the entry and giveaway. This would be a blessing to win!
ReplyDeleteOur kitchen - misti
ReplyDeleteI would order for Master bedroom windows and skylights. THE SUN IS BLINDING in the morning while it is nice to see a night sky as one is directly over the bed. I also think in winter it would help retain heat in the room by having something on the windows. Think Hunter Douglas products are the best.
ReplyDeleteLiving Room! We have been in our home for 10 years and are finally in the midst of a complete redo of our Living Room. It is lakeside and has a very large doorwall that still has a mauve window covering from the 80s - we reversed it so that the "white" side is inside, but alas, it is time to redo. This app would be a fantastic way to shop for something new! Thanks for always sharing such wonderful ideas and opportunities!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the bathroom! The one room where window treatments really aren't an option :)Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy livng room and sliding doors need a SERIOUS re-do for treatments. We use these doors in the summer to access outdoor living space, so I need them to be accessible but also pretty as they are part of my living space decor...help!!
ReplyDeleteCan I say all of them?? :))) I would say the family room/dining room since that is what everyone sees and where we spend the most time.:)

ReplyDeleteNot sure if my last comment was received, but our kids room desperately needs some new window treatments. The current blinds let in too much light in the morning and our daughter has been waking up right at sunrise. We need something different!
ReplyDeleteMy bedroom! I need to figure out how to let the light in while keeping the street noise out!
ReplyDeleteOh my...the blinds in our boys room are a site for SOAR eyes! Did they swing and hang from those things??? The boys room, now TWEENIES need new blinds to help with their "mini man" cave!
ReplyDeleteSigned,
SOOOO in need of blinds!socalvolpes@gmail.com
We have giant old warehouse windows that look directly into our neighbor--as much as I enjoy seeing what they're having for dinner, I'd rather keep my getting dressed private (among other things...eeek!). That rare Portland sun in the morning isn't helping my Saturday sleep-ins, either :( Help us, Hunter!!!
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen definitely needs new window treatments! The plantation shutters on the windows have seen their better days! They are falling apart!
ReplyDeleteI could use new window treatments in her office. I love using Hunter Douglas, great company.

I can't wait to try this app! My FR windows have been waiting for window treatments for 3 years now! 3 windows of one size, 2 smaller and a set of french doors... help!
ReplyDeleteMy bedroom!! Thanks so much for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteOur den is in need of updated window treatments, we've been looking for room-darkening shades but they are pricey!
ReplyDeleteMy girls share a bedroom that has 2 windows in it. It faces north/west and is so cold in the winter and burning hot in the summer at bedtime. Some great Hunter Douglas cellular blinds would solve that problem.
ReplyDeleteOur family room and kitchen (kind of a great room) have three windows and a glass slider. None of these have window coverings. I don't know what to do with the slider and I've been procrastinating over the three windows since our reno...over 2 years ago!
ReplyDeleteI live in an apartment and can't paint the walls...so a window treatment would DEFINATELY give some life & color to my living space!

My off center living and bedroom windows need a lot of help. They look so blah.
ReplyDeleteThanks,

I would have to say my living room could use the biggest update as far as window treatments go. Its the first room people walk into when they come and I think a nice upgrade could really liven up the space and set the bar for the rest of the house.
ReplyDeleteOur living room definitely needs new window treatments.
ReplyDeletethoozie(at)gmail.com
