Laundry. There is no getting around the task, but it can be tackled many ways. Popular approaches include one load per day, one day for all or separate loads for each person in your household. My family likes to have “folding parties” where the kids fold their own clothing. In any case, test out the different approaches and see what works best for your family. For more ideas Circle of Moms just published tips for an efficient laundry routine that you may find helpful.

Laundry rooms of course need to be functional first and foremost, but there is no reason why they can’t be beautiful too. Personally I gravitate toward all white laundry rooms with a hint of color, pattern and texture that can be played out in tile backsplash, flooring or window treatment. How do you tackle laundry in your home?
Oh I dream of having a huge laundry room to make my least favorite chore a bit more bearable, but until then it's all loads done in one day {laundry day happens to be today for me}. I love the idea of having a folding party! I hope I can get my son to do that when he gets older.

ReplyDeleteHappy summer! Love ALL of the laundry room pictures! I loved keeping up with your blog! Love, Jamie Herzlinger
ReplyDeleteThese are so fresh and inspiring! My laundry room is currently the ugliest room in the house--a typical basement utility room that just happens to have a washer/dryer in it. These images give me hope for that "someday" of having a beautiful laundry space!
