Okay, I'm a little crabby about it. Summer is winding down and Target is already stocked for Halloween, Christmas and most likely preparing to release Valentine's Day goodies. While retailers rush us into the next season or two, I'd like to give you a moment to enjoy today. This last of the beautiful summer days.
One of my readers and a fellow blogger, Laura Trevey, happens to be a very talented watercolor artist. Her creations are full of life, brilliant color and rich texture. Here's just a sampling of her beautiful work. Hopefully Laura's beachy images of summer bring you back into the moment.
Watercolors by Laura L. Trevey are available at Etsy. Now let's go enjoy these last wonderful days of summer!
Ugh -- I totally know what you mean. I was in Home Goods today and they had about 3 aisles dedicated to Halloween decorations...I just wish we could at least wait until AFTER Labor Day to drag the stuff out!
ReplyDeleteLove your friend's work btw, I'll be adding her to my Etsy favorites now!
Her work is stunning, I love that crab! So sad that summer is over!

I see a lot of the northern bloggers have starting decorating for fall...I wonder if I do it here in south Florida if it will speed the cool air down any faster???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercolors!!!
I love her work, especially the cobalt lounge chairs. They really draw you in. Hope you had a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to wake up to Tuesday! I myself am never sad to see Halloween come in, but I don't want to look at Christmas until late November!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words, and your lovely post! I truly love what I do, and am so happy to be able to share it with others.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

These colors are beautiful - I do love the blue crab.
ReplyDeleteIt would be so lovely if the stores could wait until October before dragging out all the candy, witches and spiders...
