Getting boo’d is a fun tradition in our neighborhood we look forward to. This year my kids were really into helping make the baskets for the families we were going to “boo.” Candies and other Halloween trinkets went in the baskets, but I thought my oldest had the best idea to wrap them in fake spider webs. Isn’t that so creative?
Once you’ve been “boo’d” you place the sign on your front door to let other neighbors know. Our boo sign somehow disappeared. My youngest said that the oldest threw it away hoping we would be boo’d again. {smile} So, we made our own boo sign {above}, but below is a darling you can download at {grey square designs} via Pinterest.
Have you been boo’d?
Wishing you a Happy Halloween!
Love those spiderwebs! We "spook" eachother in our neighborhood too! It ends up being as much fun for the adults (especially since I got a bottle of wine in my basket this year!). I am happy to see other people do this because it can be so much fun and a great way to get to know your neighbors! Come on over and see my post called "How to Spook the Neighbors". Have a Happy Halloween! (I am not sure if I sent a dupe comment.. my computer went a little crazy!) - Maybe it was spooked!...

I love this tradition and was introduced to it in our old neighborhood in Charlotte, NC. So we brought the idea with us and did it for a number of years here in Rye. With a renovation literally happening as I type, I didn't do it this year and my kids were sad. They are already talking about doing it next year. So fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your little ones had a wonderful Halloween!
